Today, you’re going to hear from one of my most passionate sisters; Staci Eggleton. She will be talking about the resistance she felt about engaging with God and how she struggled with an approval addiction (like someone else you know.)
When she reflects on her rebellious days, she says she was like “the little bird on your daughter’s shoulder that ya just wanna shoot!” It’s hard for me to imagine some of my friends the way they describe themselves before Christ entered the picture… Especially Staci -she’s just so sweet. But I know what I’m capable of, so I don’t put anything past anybody anymore… really…..
Today, you’ll hear us refer to a favorite sermon of mine- Rob Sweet’s message about the picture on God’s proverbial fridge, made up lovingly, of pixels of you and me. Wanted to make that sermon available for you; We’ve all searched high and low for that sermon in the archives to no avail… If YOU are a fellow Fellowshipper and you happen to know when this sermon was preached, can I trouble you to please reach out and let me know? Heylovepodcast@gmail.com. Thank you kindly for your help!!!
Staci oozes the Word and you’ll enjoy hearing her talk about how it has affected her relationships. She found herself running from God for many years but by the time she suffered the loss of her mom, her faith was anchored in the Truth and she discusses the ability God gave her to release mysteries to the Good Hand of Providence.
As she was telling me about the celebration of her mom’s life, a certain song kept running through my mind- “I Can Only Imagine.” And as it happens, the writer of that very song will be with us next week. Join us for Bart Millard’s interview right here!!!
Also, we’re going to India! To partner with us, go to the website heylovepodcast.com- you’ll see a cute photo of my Davey Joy outside her orphanage on the day she found out she was our referral. We plan to visit her nurses who took such good care of her for her first few years of life.
If you have any questions about that or if you find any comfort in these sound waves, any encouragement in these pages, please let us know. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
We’ve all been afflicted here with sickness! Hope you and your people are well wherever you are!
