Thanks for your interest! My Davey and I are so excited about our mission trip to India this summer. We will be bringing tidings of comfort and joy to a small team of believers in Maharashtra who have been tirelessly ministering to orphans and widows in their community in Jesus’ Name. We will be traveling with my sweet friend, Jodie (Sweet :-0) She and her Pastor-husband, Rob (fbctn.org) are close friends with the pastor there and his wife. I’m looking so forward to getting to know Jodie better and coming alongside this Indian couple (Jayesh and Rani) there on the field.
This church, as it happens, is down the road from Davey’s old stompin’ grounds! We will have to brush up on our Marathi, which is what they speak there and which JUST SO HAPPENS to be the same language Davey spoke when we went over to bring her home. (What are the chances???? With ALL the 600+ dialects in India!!! The Lord is so kind!)
If Davey Joy is ready for it emotionally, we will make a day trip to her old orphanage to thank the nurses and workers there for taking such good care of her for the first 5 years of her life. It’s hard to believe it, but our daughter’s Adoption “Gotcha Day” was 14 years ago this month!!
We’d so appreciate your prayers for health and safety as we go. And PLEASE pray for our boys too (Blair and Elijah) as they hold down the fort here at home. :-0) Of course, we’d be thrilled to have you partner with us financially. Will you help us help them? Anything we raise over our goal will go toward taxis, food and gifts for the orphanage and the women we meet in Maharashtra. We need to raise roughly $5,500 by May 31st for this trip.
Well Love, for all the encouraging feedback we’re getting, THANK YOU! This podcast has truly been a labor of love. It’s a blast to watch our subscriber list grow right before our eyes. Blair and I are both grateful for you, our friends. If ya have any questions about our India trip or the podcast in general, please email me at email@example.com
Chompin’ at the bit to get Home,
ps- We’re placing heylovehenna on the back burner for now; somehow, I feel sure that bringing a hundred little dresses will be a better way to steward any extra funds. Read the caption below and you’ll see why-
